A46 Teddington Hands Carriageway Resurfacing

Commencement date of 25th February 2008.

The Highways Agency are planning to carry out re-surfacing work on the A46 at the Teddington Hands, either side of the A46 / A435 roundabout. The works are 2.4 km (1.5) miles in length and run from approx 1.4km south of the roundabout towards Aston Cross to 0.9km north of the roundabout at Little Beckford. To reduce delays to the travelling public, the works will only be carried out overnight between the hours of 2100 and 0600. For safety reasons, a temp 40mph speed limit will be in place for the duration of the works. The works will be carried out using either traffic lights or convoy running. At times of convoy running there will be a 10mph speed limit through the works area.

In order to re-surface the A46/A435 roundabout itself, it will be necessary to have overnight closures of Crashmore Lane, which runs north from the roundabout to Conderton and the B4077 to Toddington. Closures for approx two/three nights at some time during mid June.
